Malika Pukhraj is a well recognized figure in the sub-continent and at all stages of her career has received acknowledgements and acclaim, both in Pakistan and India. She was awarded Pakistan's highest civilian award the Pride of Performance in 1980. She was invited as a special guest of the Government of India to commemorate the golden jubilee of the All India Radio, just to mention a few.
